Each of these 4 teams was a visiting side this weekend.
The winner of the day was Vasas, which recorded its 2nd win in this season’s championship in an important clash.

Reigning champion Ferencvaros did a clean job in Szombathely. The visitors downed AVUS 17:6, which was the most convincing win of the round. “Fradi” was led by Szilard Jansik and Aaron Younger. Each scored 4 goals.

Group B

The most interesting match of the round was a clash of Vasas and Debrecen, played in Budapest.

Vasas, which have won the Hungarian championship 17 times, defeated Debrecen by a goal (10:9). These three points kept Vasas water polo players in the race for the 4th place and for the Top 8 group. The Budapest-based team led for most of the time. Three and a half minutes from the end, Debrecen managed to equalize for the first time (8:8). The teams were tied before Vasas’s last possession, too (9:9). David Miklos Levente decided everything 16 seconds before the final buzzer. He netted his fourth goal in the match for Vasas’s 10:9 victory. Besides Levente, the hosts’ biggest weapon was Rolf Benz, who also scored 4 goals.
