Favourites continued to win games in the Hungarian water polo championship. Szolnok and Ferencvaros scored convincing wins in matches of the Round 9 of the national competition.

The defending champion claimed an almost perfect win against a home team of UVSE. It was 13:1 for the European champion and UVSE just managed to score in the last quarter.

This was a real water polo class from the Szolnoki players despite the fact they were considered huge favorites. But to save your net in the first three quarters – it was really something special.

The only goal for UVSE was scored by Kereszturi, while Batori Bence and Gergo Zalanki made the hattricks for the visiting team.

Ferencvarosi water polo club also had no problems away against AVUS. Unlike Szolnoki, they dominated offensively and won 21:8.

It was a real water polo festival of goals in Budapest. Fradi won the first quarter 5:3, but in the second they showed some top class water polo performance on both sides of the swimming pool.

In that period of the game, Fradi scored four times, considered zero, and away players went to the big break with six goals advantage (9:3).

The second halftime looked more like a training than like a competitive game. In the end, four Fradi players scored hattricks – Sedlmayer, Jansik, Manhercz, and Mitrovic.

Another club from Budapest – OSC, managed to win in this round and continued to chase a leader of the Group B in the championship, Eger. OSC this time recorded a victory away at Szentesi swimming pool – 14:10.

If you look at the final result, it could mislead you that it was a tough and in a way tight game. But OSC dominated the first three-quarters of the game and entered the last eight minutes of the match with 13:4 lead.

Only in the last quarter, Szentesi managed to turn this game into an honorable defeat. Salamon from OSC was the game top scorer with three goals.
