The German Super Cup remains with Wasserfreunde Spandau. This weekend the German champion defeated Bayer Uerdingen 16-7 to keep the cup in Berlin.
Uerdingen took the Super Cup final spot over Duisburg and Potsdam, for Duisburg because of a protest following their 6-7 semi-final loss to Spandau, which actually resulted in their disqualification and the other teams being placed above the wester-German club.
The Super Cup battle eventually was controlled by Spandau who walked away from the opposition in the final quarter, en route to the comfortable victory. Captain Marko Stamm led all scorers with 4 goals.
