Posillipo and Savona share points, favorites with no mercy (VIDEO)

The visitors were very successful in the 6th round of the 100th Italian Championship. The home teams defeated their respective rivals just in two games, while one encounter ended in a draw.

Brescia had no mercy. The league leader demolished Bogliasco , led by Pietro Figlioli (5 goals) and Christian Presciutti (4) – 15:5.

Catania recorded the 1st win this season. The Sicilians were 0:4 down in the 9th minute of the match against Canottieri. But, Catania, the home team in this match, produced a big comeback. By halftime, the hosts reduced the gap to 1 (3:4), while they went 7:5 up 23 seconds from the end of the 3rd quarter. Deep into the third period, Catania jumped to a 9:5 lead and secured a win (11:8). The top scorers were Serbs Nenad Kacar (Catania) and Milos Vukicevic (Canottieri), who scored 4 goals each.

Pro Recco stormed past Lazio (16:1). The Rome based team its only goal scored a minute and a half before the end.

Sport Management did a clean job in Trieste. The team from Busto d’Arizio beat Trieste by a 15-goals margin (20:5). Valentino, Alesiani, and Stefano Lungo netted 4 goals each.

Posillipo and Savona shared the points in Naples. The home team had an opening 1:0 lead, but Savona turned around a deficit to a 4:2 advantage early in the 3rd quarter. Posillipo was coming back step-by-step. However, Savona still has a nice 2-goal lead (7:5) in the middle of the fourth quarter. The hosts secured a point with two straight goals in the last 2.30 minutes (7:7).

There were a lot of thrills in the Foro Italico pool in Rome where Roma faced Florentia. The visitors earned a slim advantage in the first quarter (4:3) which they maintained until the end. The following three quarters saw a lot of twists and turns, but neither team managed to build a 2-goals advantage. After the final buzzer, Florentia celebrated a 10:9 victory.

The visitors were successful in the encounter between Iren Quinto and Ortigia in Genoa. Boosted by a Croat Jelaca (4 goals) Ortigia defeated the hosts with a 2-goal margin. The team from Sicily has an 8:5 lead at halftime. Quinto was able to come back and it equalized early in the last quarter (9:9). But, the hosts didn’t score in the remaining time, while Ortigia’s players fond the back of the net two times for an 11:9 win.
