Super Wednesday in round 2 of the Hungarian championships where the top teams went head-to-head. Reigning champions Szolnok got a taste of the toughness of their quest to defend the national title as OSC walked away from the Water Polo Arena with an 11-14 win, sparked by Ferenc Salamon and Bence Batori who scored 3 goals apiece.

In group B FTC came away with a 10-10 draw in Eger thanks to a late surge that included 2 goals. Gergely Katonas scored the connecting hit with under a minute remaining to set up a late equaliser as Stefan Mitrovic struck with just 3 seconds on the clock for the visiting FTC side. Eger coach Norbert Dabrowski took a time-out but to no avail as Eger had to settle for the draw.

In other results Debrecen, Vasas and Szeged did well by gaining expected, but solid results. For Szeged Olympian Krisztian Manhercz and Milos Vukicevic led the way with 4 goals each. Lukas Gyurik topped that offensive production by netting 5 shots for Debrecen in their win at KSI. Vasas used an all-around effort with 5 players scoring twice to beat Szentes 6-11.

In group B Miskolc posted the first win beating Tatabanya 5-11. Marton Halek and Milos Milicic each scored 3 goals in the clear win, while USA international Alex Bowen added 2. Honvéd had trouble overcoming Kaposvar. Tamas Gyarfas was again important scoring the 9-11 goal with over 3 minutes remaining as Honvéd held on, despite a late goal by the home team, to beat Kaposvár 10-11.
