It was supposed to be one of the derby matches in this round of competition against Honved, but Eger water polo club once more proved that they are going to have an easy walk in Group B.

Visiting team won easily in Budapest – 12:3 and demonstrated a really good play in defense. Eger conceded just one goal in the first half and offensively Marko Avramovic and Angelos Vlachopoulos carried the team with three goals each.

In the same group, Tatabanya surprised visiting Miskolci – 6:3 and it was their first defeat of the season.

This was a square game until the last five minutes, but then Tatabanya started to play some tough defense, while Martin Kolarik scored twice and Daniel Francsics once to secure a big win for the home team.

After this result, OSC water polo club came to the second place in the standings as they also won away against PVSK – 13:6. Balazs Erdelyi led the Budapest team with four goals, while Lukas Seman scored three times.

In the Group A, all four favorites recorded wins. The defending champion Szolnok won against the home team of Kaposvar – 15:5.

Szolnok had five goals advantage already at the halftime. Jansik, Zalanki, Kis, Mezei, and Prlainovic scored two goals each.

BVSC Zuglo dominated in the small Budapest derby against UVSE at Alfred Hajos national swimming pool and won 20:8. After an equal first quarter, visitors decided to put a gear up.

And the result was there – they six goals in the second period and did not concede. So it was game over already at the halftime. Ferenc Ambrus, Kristof Varnai, and Bela Torok all scored hattricks.

Ferencvaros demonstrated some very good water polo at Debrecen swimming pool. Because how often do you see that one team wins the first quarter with 8:0 score.

And that is exactly what happened to Debrecen in this match. Already after three minutes, Ferencvaros water polo players had a 4:0 lead.

The visitors continued the same way at the start of a second period when they took a 9:0 advantage thanks to a goal from Norbert Madaras.
Denes Varga and Marton Vamos were especially good in this match. Both scored five times each, Varga also had a perfect shot percentage – 5/5.
