CIF-SS Concludes with seven new champions

Div 1 – Orange Lutheran 9 Huntington Beach 7
In a very exciting game two first time CIF-SS Division 1 finalists battle for the crown. Orange Lutheran won the game and Huntington Beach after being defeated in the Division 1 semi-finals again has to settle for something other than number 1.

Div 2 – Santa Margarita 6 Laguna Beach 4
Santa Margarita defeats Laguna Beach High School 6-4 in the CIF-SS Division 2 final. Laguna Beach was met with controversy after a heated quarter final win over Hoover High School, in the end Laguna falls in the final to a stronger team.

Div 3 – Oaks Christian 9 Aliso Niguel 7
Oaks Christian High School wins its first ever CIF title with a 9-7 win over Aliso Niguel. Jacob Ehrhardt scored five goals to help lead his team to victory.

Div 4 – Royal 12 Yucaipa 6
Royal High School won their first CIF title since 1995 this passed Saturday. They defeated the Yucaipa High School 12-6 to capture their second ever championship.

Div 5 – Burroughs 12 San Juan Hills 7
Burroughs High School won its first CIF championship Saturday night after defeating San Juan Hills by an impressive score of 12-7. Aram Nordanyan and David Arakelyan both finished with four goals.

Div 6 – Roosevelt 9 Xavier Prep 8
Roosevelt High School defeated Xavier Prep by one goal in the Division 6 final. It came down to the final seconds for this championship game, but it was Roosevelt who was able to hang on just a little longer.

Div 7 – Shadow Hills 8 Chaffey 4
Both teams saw their first CIF Finals appearance, but only one can be the champion. Shadow Hills managed an 8-4 victory over Chaffey High School in the Division 7 final.
